"My husband and I had a great day attending the course"
For those new to horses, returning after a long break or trying to overcome fear, this will help you become safe and comfortable around horses. Classroom discussion will provide an introduction to how horses think and behave and practical sessions will teach you how to approach, halter, lead, groom and move safely around a horse. You will learn the basic concept behind the Dually™ halter and after watching Join-Up® demonstrations, will experience a guided round pen session to feel the power of inter-species communication.

"The Monty Roberts website is very easy to use. Everything has gone well. I made a purchase earlier this year and I have enjoyed my purchases."
"Dear Monty, It was wonderful to visit your facility and engage in Horsemanship 101. What a treat it was to learn more about natural horsemanship and further my education in that area of horse/human partnership. Simon and Yvonne were wonderful instructors and I appreciate the small group 1:3 ratio! It was a treat to have you come and answer questions. Thanks also Monty for the invite post the course to see you up at the house with your herd of deer. I can't wait to visit California next year and will book vacation around your next course availability. Kind Regards, Karen Shapiro (NC)"
"I went to this class hoping to take a step towards releasing some deep inbedded fears I had. I was so impressed with Tebaugh (sorry about that spelling) and Simon and actually because of those two, I was pretty impressed with my self. I did everything I was asked to do, things I just couldn't imagine I would do again. Things like picking up their feet, even their back feet. Leading a horse who towered over me and being guided on safely stopping him, standing with him and calming him down when he became nervous. Both Simon and Tebaugh were calming, always showed the safe way of doing everything; if we weren't sure or did something incorrectly, they would show us what we did and then show us how to do it right. I liked that they even taught us some horse psychology. I just can't say in words how grateful I am for the class and both of these instructors. I only have one suggestion, remind the students to take pictures/videos, not of the whole class of course, but like I would have loved to have a short video of me backing up while the horse was walking with me, stopping him, or a little bit of the obstacle course. I try to explain that to my family and they look at me like they can't quite believe it. A picture is worth a 1,000 words. Thank you again and again."
"I learned SOOOO much! Simon and crew were fantastic."
"Very efficient"
"This was a great introduction for me with my enthusiasm for horses and limited practical experience. The content increased my knowledge of equestrian psychology and safe practices. The hands on learning built my confidence and met my expectations of being with horses."
"Hi - I rescheduled for March. Looking forward to it."
"Had the opportunity to participate in a guided join-up which was worth the price of admission. Our instructor, Claire, was very knowledgeable, patient, and very nice. Looking forward to attending more classes."
